On August 28, 2020, the CMTBC Board approved amendments to the College Bylaws. At this time, CMTBC is proceeding to post a portion of the proposed amendments.
Notice of the below amendment is hereby provided to the Minister of Health, regulatory colleges of other health professions in the province, the public, and other interested stakeholders, as required by section 19(6.2) of the Health Professions Act.
The proposed Bylaw amendment would add a new section to the Bylaws, which would state as follows:
Continuing education: November 1, 2020 to October 31, 2021
63.21 (1) Each Registrant who holds practising or non-practising registration at any time between November 1, 2020 and October 31, 2021 must pay the fee specified in Schedule “B” for the College-authored course entitled “Code of Ethics and Practice Environment Standard” and complete the “Code of Ethics and Practice Environment Standard” course by October 31, 2021.
Public Review Period
Comments on proposed changes to the College’s Bylaws may be submitted by registrants, members of the public or by other interested stakeholders.
Please submit your comments on the proposed amendments by 4:30 pm on Monday, March 1, 2021, either to the College or directly to the Ministry of Health.
